Understanding Different Types of DNA Tests
1. What is a mobile DNA testing service?
Our mobile DNA testing service means we come to you, whether at a private space, workplace, or another convenient location, to collect DNA samples. Some test will require in-person at a partnered lab by appointment. This service offers flexibility and privacy, ensuring a hassle-free testing experience.
2. What types of DNA tests do you offer?
We offer both paternity and non-paternity DNA tests, which can be conducted for legal or non-legal purposes. Our services include testing for family relationships, ancestry, and health insights.
3. What’s the difference between legal and non-legal DNA testing?
4. How is the DNA sample collected?
A simple, non-invasive cheek swab is used to collect DNA from the inside of your mouth. This process is quick, painless, and can be performed on individuals of any age, including newborns.
5. How long does the testing process take?
After the samples are collected, it typically takes 3-5 business days to process and analyze the DNA. Legal tests may take slightly longer due to additional verification steps.
6. How do I schedule an appointment?
Appointments can be scheduled through our online booking system, which you can access via our website. Simply choose your preferred date, time, and location, and we’ll take care of the rest.
7. What are the costs involved?
The cost of testing varies depending on the type of test and location. All payments are due at the time of booking, and mileage charges may apply based on the distance from our testing center. Please refer to our pricing page for detailed information.
8. What is your cancellation policy?
You must cancel your appointment at least 48 hours in advance to receive a full refund. If the cancellation is made after this period, or if samples have been mailed, the payment is non-refundable.
9. Who receives the test results?
The results are sent directly to the individual who purchased the test. For legal tests, results may also be sent to authorized legal representatives if requested.
10. Can the results be used in court?
Yes, if you choose the legal DNA testing option. Our legal tests follow a chain of custody procedure that ensures the results are admissible in court.
11. Is the testing process confidential?
Absolutely. We take privacy very seriously. All information and results are kept strictly confidential and are only shared with authorized individuals.
12. What should I do if the alleged father is unwilling to participate?
If the alleged father is unwilling to participate, other family members such as siblings, grandparents, or aunts/uncles may be tested to establish a biological relationship. Please contact us for more details on this option.
13. Do you offer testing for other family relationships?
Yes, we offer testing for various family relationships, including sibling tests, grandparent tests, and avuncular tests (aunts/uncles). These tests can help confirm biological relationships in the absence of a direct parent-child test.
14. How accurate are the test results?
Our tests are extremely accurate, with a probability of paternity typically greater than 99.99% for paternity tests. All tests are performed by accredited laboratories with the highest standards of quality and reliability.
